Bengali Subtitles Generator: Bangla, Banglish or English Captions
Create animated Bengali captions in Bangla script, Banglish (Roman script) or English. Word-synced subtitles for Reels, Shorts and YouTube videos.
Bangla captions for viewers on both sides of the border#
Bengali creators speak to one of the biggest audiences in the region, from Kolkata to Dhaka and the diaspora beyond. Some viewers read Bangla script, many scroll faster through Banglish, and others only follow English. Supercaptions makes all three from one upload:
Bangla and Banglish captions use the same word timestamps, so the highlight moves with the voice.
How to add Bengali subtitles#
- Upload your video. Bengali, English or mixed speech all work.
- Choose Original, Romanized or English as the caption language.
- Pick an animated style from the caption styles. Gold Zoom suits poetry and music clips; karaoke highlights suit recipes and explainers.
- Polish and export. Fix words, retime them on the timeline, recolor lines or single words, add background music or sound effects, and export.
Bangla, Banglish or English: which one?#
- Bangla script for literature, recitation, news and any content where viewers expect proper Bengali spelling.
- Banglish for casual vlogs, food reviews and chatty videos. It matches how most of your comments are typed, on both sides of the border.
- English when a recipe, travel clip or song should reach viewers who don't read Bengali at all.
All three cost the same, so choose by audience, not price.
Lyrics and long recitations, edited word by word#
Poems, songs and recipes can contain names and words that need a manual check. Every word sits on a timeline, so you can rename it, drag it to the beat or trim its length. Color a chorus line differently, make one word of a poem stand out, and add music or sound effects in the same editor.
Made for Bengali creators#
- Food and street-food channels from Kolkata to Dhaka.
- Travel vloggers exploring the hills, the Sundarbans and beyond.
- Literature, poetry and recitation pages where every word deserves to be read.
- Music and cover artists sharing Rabindrasangeet, folk and band songs with lyrics on screen.
- Diaspora creators who add English subtitles for friends and viewers who don't speak Bengali.
Better than platform auto captions#
Built-in captions give you one plain font and little control over timing. Supercaptions gives you word-level sync, dozens of animated templates, per-word color and emphasis, captions that can sit behind the speaker, and a timeline editor for fixes.

Frequently asked questions
- What are Banglish captions?
- Banglish captions write spoken Bengali in English letters, the way people type Bangla in Messenger and WhatsApp. The speaker's words stay the same; only the script is Roman instead of Bangla.
- Does it work for both Kolkata and Bangladeshi Bengali?
- Speech is transcribed as spoken, in Bangla script, whether it's West Bengal or Bangladesh Bengali. Any word can be corrected in the editor if it comes out wrong.
- Can I get English subtitles for a Bangla video?
- Yes. Choose English when you create the project. Each caption line is translated and timed to the part of the speech it comes from. Line timing is exact; the word-by-word highlight inside an English line is approximate, since Bengali and English order words differently.
- What does it cost?
- One credit per second of audio for Bangla, Banglish or English captions. New accounts get 2 free minutes.
- Can I mix Bengali and English when I speak?
- Yes. Code-switched speech is transcribed as spoken. In Banglish mode the whole line is in Roman letters, so it reads like one natural sentence.
