Marathi Subtitles Generator: Marathi, Minglish or English Captions
Generate animated Marathi captions in Devanagari, Minglish (Marathi in Roman script) or English. Word-synced subtitles for Reels, Shorts and YouTube.
Marathi captions that fit your audience#
Marathi content reaches very different viewers: families who follow kirtans and news in Devanagari, younger viewers who read Marathi faster in English letters (Minglish), and people outside Maharashtra who need English. Supercaptions creates any of the three from one upload:
Devanagari and Minglish captions use the same word timestamps, so the highlight follows the speaker word by word.
How to add Marathi subtitles to a video#
- Upload your video. Marathi, English or speech that mixes both is fine.
- Choose Original, Romanized or English for the captions.
- Pick a style from the caption style library. Calm styles like Editorial Italic suit devotional and talk content; bold pop captions suit comedy.
- Review and export. Edit words, retime them on the timeline, color a key line or word, add music or sound effects, and export.
Devanagari, Minglish or English?#
- Devanagari for devotional, news and education content, where viewers expect proper Marathi spelling.
- Minglish for casual talk, comedy and lifestyle videos. Younger viewers often read Roman letters faster on a phone, and English words in the speech stay as they are.
- English for reaching viewers outside Maharashtra, or for sharing an explainer with a pan-India audience.
Marathi and Hindi share the Devanagari script but are different languages. Speech is transcribed as spoken in Marathi, and any word that comes out wrong can be fixed in the editor.
Edit everything on the timeline#
Names of saints, places and local words are where a transcript may need a correction. Every word sits on a timeline: rename it, drag it to the moment it's spoken, or change its length. Give a key line of an abhang its own color, or make one word stand out in a comedy punchline.
Who it's for#
- Devotional channels sharing abhangs, kirtans and pravachan clips.
- News and current-affairs pages turning Marathi bulletins into short vertical updates.
- Teachers and exam-prep creators explaining in Marathi with English terms.
- Comedy and Pune–Mumbai lifestyle creators whose everyday Marathi reads naturally in Minglish.
Why not built-in auto captions?#
Platform auto captions give you a plain font and little control over timing. Supercaptions gives you word-level sync, dozens of animated templates, per-word emphasis, captions that can sit behind the speaker, and a full timeline editor.

Frequently asked questions
- What is Minglish?
- Here, Minglish means Marathi written in English letters, the way many people type Marathi in messages and comments. The captions keep the speaker's Marathi words; only the script changes from Devanagari to Roman.
- Can I make English subtitles from a Marathi video?
- Yes. Select English when you create the project. Each line is translated and shown while that part of the speech plays. Line timing follows the speaker; the word-by-word highlight inside an English line is approximate, because Marathi word order differs from English.
- Will Marathi captions get mixed up with Hindi?
- The speech is transcribed as spoken, in Devanagari. If a word does come out wrong, you can correct it in the editor and retime it on the timeline.
- Does each caption mode cost something different?
- No. Marathi, Minglish and English captions all cost one credit per second of audio. New accounts get 2 free minutes.
- Can I post the same video in Marathi and English?
- Yes. Use Rescript on the project to caption it again in another mode. It transcribes the audio again, so it uses credits again.
